Signposts for Family Courts
We hope you will not need to go to court. It can take a long time for the court system to make a judgement. It can cost both parents a tremendous amount of money, effort and time. Sometimes this ends up throwing their child into poverty. In 2010 there were 95,500 private law cases in England and Wales. Only 0.3% of those cases ended up with an order for No Contact. The statistics are here. Section 11 of the Children & Families Act 2014 states that a Court is to presume that, unless the contrary can be shown, that involvement of (both) parent(s) in the life of the child concerned will further the child's welfare.
